Fom brokenness to Purpose

My name is Kusemererwa Lillian, from Kagadi District, Uganda. My life is a testimony of God’s grace, restoration, and divine intervention. After completing Senior Four, I joined a Vocational Training Institute with hope and determination. By God’s grace, I completed my first year successfully. However, when it was time to begin my second year, everything changed. My parents could no longer afford my school fees, and my education came to a sudden stop. It was a painful season, filled with uncertainty and fear for my future. In search of survival, I made the difficult decision to move to Kampala to look for work. I was employed as a housemaid and earned 100,000 UGX per month. Life was very hard. My employer was inconsistent with payment, and at times there was no food in the house. I would use my own small earnings to buy food. I carried a lot of pain silently, crying often and feeling deeply discouraged about life. But even in that dark season, God was working behind the scenes. One Friday, an old friend I used to minister with invited me to attend a night vigil at Favour’s Foundation Ministries. He provided transport for me, and I attended the vigil. The following day, he again supported me to attend Sunday service. That Sunday marked a turning point in my life. During the service, Pastor Favour prayed for me and spoke into my life with divine accuracy. She addressed the pain I had been carrying and spoke hope, healing, and restoration over my destiny. In that moment, I knew that God had seen my tears and heard my prayers.

By the grace of God, Pastor Favour took me in as her child. Through Favour’s Foundation Ministries, I was given a full scholarship. My entire school fees for one year were paid, and all my requirements were provided. What I could not do for myself, God did for me through His servant.
I returned to school and completed my studies, earning a National Certificate in Fashion and Design. Today, I stand as a living testimony that God is able to restore what was lost.
I now serve faithfully at Favour’s Foundation Ministries as a minister in the Worship Team and the Protocol Team, joyfully giving back to the house God used to change my life.
As I look ahead, I am preparing to go to university, and I carry a clear vision of starting my own company in the future. My journey reminds me daily that delay is not denial, and that when God steps in, destinies are rewritten.
This is my story—and I know it is only the beginning.
